Priest of the Third Order Capuchin of the Sorrowful Virgin, martyr of the persecution in Spain
Who they were
Florentino Pérez Romero was a priest of the Third Order Capuchin of the Sorrowful Virgin, born at Valdecuenca in the province of Teruel in 1902; the decree calls him cheerful and good by nature, never spiteful, always sincere and upright, and he was killed at Pobla de Vallbona in the province of Valencia on 23 August 1936.
He was beatified on 11 March 2001 by John Paul II, among Vicente Cabanes Badenas and his eighteen companions of the Third Order Capuchin of the Sorrowful Virgin and the laywoman María del Carmen García Moyon.
