Who they were
Francisca de Fuentes was born at Intramuros, in the Philippines, in 1647 and took the religious name Frances of the Holy Spirit.
She founded the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of St Catherine of Siena, and died at Manila on 24 August 1711. Pope Francis recognised her heroic virtue on 5 July 2019. She is not the French foundress of the same religious name.
