Who they were
The Dicastery for the Causes of Saints describes him as a Maronite Christian and a silk merchant, well known in Damascus and esteemed as an upright and devout man, married and the father of eight children, generous above all towards the poor and the needy, who acted as procurator for the Franciscan friars.
With his brothers Mooti and Raffaele he was at the convent of Saint Paul at the hour of the martyrdom.
He was beatified on 10 October 1926 by Pope Pius XI and canonised on 20 October 2024 by Pope Francis.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
He was known in Damascus as an upright and devout man, generous to the poor, and he died with his two brothers at the convent of Saint Paul.
