Why that counted as sanctity
Born at Nola near Naples and ordained in 1636, he joined the Society of Jesus and was killed in 1648 while a missionary in Mindanao; his cause is one of martyrdom. The diocesan inquiry opened in Dipolog on 6 January 2016 and closed on 15 September 2017, with the nihil obstat in July 2016.
