Francis Choe Bong-han

Who they were

Francis Choe Bong-han was one of the martyrs of Korea. The list of the Korean martyrs published by the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints records that he was killed at Daegu in May 1815, at the age of 30; he was beatified on 16 August 2014 by Pope Francis.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
