Francis de Geronimo

Who they were
Francesco De Geronimo was born at Grottaglie near Taranto on 17 December 1642, the first of eleven children of a devout, well-off family. Taught from ten by priests devoted to schooling and popular missions, he entered the Taranto seminary and was ordained in 1666.
In 1670 he became a Jesuit, and for many years gave himself to popular missions and the pastoral care of the abandoned.
