Who they were
Frank Parater, a seminarian of the diocese of Richmond studying at the North American College, died in Rome in 1920 leaving an act of offering of his life for the conversion of Virginia.

Why that counted as sanctity
The Congregation for the Causes of Saints gave the nihil obstat on 8 May 2001, Bishop Walter Sullivan set up the diocesan tribunal, and its work was approved by rescript on 16 November 2007.
