Who they were
At Madrid in Spain, Blesseds Rita of Our Lady of Sorrows of the Heart of Jesus Pujalte y Sánchez and Francisca of the Heart of Jesus Aldea y Araújo, virgins of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and martyrs, who, during the persecution that broke out in the course of the civil war, were arrested in the church of the College by enemies of the Church and shortly afterwards shot in the street.

Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 20 July as a Sister of Charity of the Sacred Heart arrested in her college church in Madrid and shot in the street during the civil war.
