Who they were
Francisco Canals Pascual, born at Sant Andrés de la Barca, near Barcelona, on 1 December 1891, made his religious profession as a lay brother in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (the Claretians) on 21 November 1918.
He was killed at Cervera on 18 October 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him with his companions on 21 October 2017.
