Who they were
Francisco Coll y Guitart was born at Gombrèn, in the diocese of Vic, on 18 May 1812 and felt called to the priesthood from childhood, entering the seminary in 1823.
A Dominican friar, he founded the Dominican Sisters of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. He died a holy death at Vic on 2 April 1875.
