Who they were
Francisco Fernández Gavilán was a priest, born at Quesada on 6 May 1875 and ordained in 1901, who lived at Quesada without an office and was killed at Espartosa, near Peal de Becerro, on 23 September 1936. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV among the 124 martyrs of Jaén.
