Francisco Marco Martínez

Who they were

Born at Odón, in the province of Teruel, on 1 February 1917, he made his religious profession as a coadjutor brother on 11 June 1936 and was killed at Cervera on 19 October of the same year. Pope Francis beatified him among the Claretian martyrs of Spain on 21 October 2017.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

The decree on martyrdom records that he was killed at Cervera on 19 October 1936, four months after his profession as a coadjutor brother.
