Who they were
Francisco María Lerma Martínez was a lay brother of the Third Order Capuchin of the Sorrowful Virgin, born in the town of Torrente in 1886; the decree calls him a great teacher, thoughtful, hard-working and careful, and he was killed at Monserrat on 18 September 1936.
He was beatified on 11 March 2001 by John Paul II, among Vicente Cabanes Badenas and his eighteen companions of the Third Order Capuchin of the Sorrowful Virgin and the laywoman María del Carmen García Moyon.
