Who they were
He was the Aymara craftsman who carved the dark wooden image of the Virgin of Copacabana (1583). Note: the Fides report gives his death as 1616 in Cusco, while the Hagiography Circle record gives 1608.

Agenzia Fides reported that the first formal phase of the beatification and canonisation process of the Servant of God Francisco Tito Yupanqui was opened on 21 May 2011 during a Mass in the basilica of Copacabana, Bolivia, with approval of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints and the Bolivian Bishops' Conference.
