Who they were
In the prison camp of Dachau near Munich in Bavaria in Germany, Blessed Franciszek Dachtera, priest and martyr, who, of Polish origin, died for Christ in time of war, worn out by the atrocities inflicted on him by doctors devoid of all respect for human dignity.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 23 August as a Polish priest martyred at Dachau.
