Franciszek Miśka

Who they were

Franciszek Miśka, born at Świerczyniec on 5 December 1898, made his theological studies at Turin, where he was ordained priest in 1927, and served in Salesian institutes and parishes in several parts of Poland until he was put in charge of the Salesian institute at Ląd. Arrested and taken through several prison camps, he was deported to Dachau on 30 October 1941 and died there on 30 June 1942. He was beatified on 6 June 2026 by Pope Leo XIV.
