French parish priest shot by the Gestapo for his work in the Resistance
Who they were
A priest of Grenoble and then curate at Villeurbanne, where he built the church of Sainte-Thérèse-de-l'Enfant-Jésus, he opposed Pétain publicly, joined the Resistance under Georges Bidault and was killed at the Fort de Côte-Lorette at Saint-Genis-Laval in August 1944.
