François Peltier was a priest of the diocese of Angers who was guillotined there during the French Revolution, with Jacques Ledoyen and Pierre Tessier, for having kept faith with his priesthood. He was beatified on 19 February 1984 by Pope John Paul II, with Guillaume Repin and the ninety-eight other martyrs of Angers.
