Françoise Trehet

Who they were
Françoise Tréhet was born at Saint-Mars-sur-la-Futaie, France, in April 1756. She belonged to the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of Évron, a lay society that cared for the sick and taught children, and with Jeanne Véron she taught girls in the village of Dompierre.
During the Revolution she was condemned by an unjust court and beheaded at Laval on 13 March 1794. She is one of the nineteen martyrs of Laval declared Blessed by Pius XII on 19 June 1955.
