Who they were

Fr Augustin Schubert, an Augustinian of the priory of St Thomas in Prague, spoke out against the abuses of his time and was murdered in odium fidei at Dachau in 1942, prisoner number 27127.

The miracles

No miracle has been approved. The cause is at its first stage.

Why that counted as sanctity

Archbishop Jan Graubner opened the diocesan phase of his beatification process at St Thomas's in Prague on 19 April 2023, with the order's postulator and a historical commission sworn in.

The cause

František Schubert (Augustin) is named a Servant of God; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: The cause of František Schubert (Augustin).

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
