Who they were
At León in Spain, commemoration of Saint Froilan, bishop, who, raised to the episcopate after leading the hermit life, evangelized the regions of Spain freed from the yoke of the Moors and shone for his ardour in spreading the monastic life and for his generosity towards the poor.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 5 October as a hermit who became bishop of León and evangelized the lands freed from the Moors.
