Who they were

A religious of the Congregation of the Passion from the community of Daimiel, born on 16 January 1917 at Cubillo de Ojeda in the diocese of Palencia and professed on 29 October 1933. Badly wounded in the head, he died a few hours later in the hospital at Manzanares on 23 July 1936. He was beatified on 1 October 1989 by John Paul II, among Nicéforo Díez Tejerina and twenty-five companions of the Congregation of the Passion.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology names him among the Passionist martyrs of Spain.
