Geltrude Comensoli

Who they were

Caterina Comensoli was born at Bienno in Val Camonica on 18 January 1847, the fifth of ten children, and baptised the same day. When her family's fortunes changed she left home to work as a domestic servant, first in the house of the provost of Chiari.

As Mother Geltrude she founded the Sacramentine Sisters of Bergamo.
