Why that counted as sanctity
A layman of Catholic Action, widowed when his wife Rosetta Franzi died in childbirth, and sent to Russia where he died at the Don in 1942; their cause is a joint one. The Congregation for the Causes of Saints gave the nihil obstat on 30 September 2005 and the diocesan inquiry began at Vercelli in February 2006.

The cause continues. No postulation address is published here yet. Favours received through this person’s intercession, and offers of help, are best sent to the religious order or congregation they belonged to, or to the diocese where the cause was opened; either will pass them to the postulation.
