Archbishop Lorenzo Ghizzoni of Ravenna-Cervia opened the diocesan phase of the cause of beatification (as a martyr) in Ravenna cathedral on 7 October 2023, after the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints granted the nulla osta in the centenary year of his death.
