The Diocese of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla opened the canonical process on the life, martyrdom and reputation of martyrdom of the Servant of God don Giuseppe Iemmi on 19 April 2026, after the nihil obstat of 28 March 2025 and the favourable vote of the Emilia-Romagna bishops.
