Who they were
Giuseppina Nicoli was born at Casatisma, near Pavia, on 18 November 1863, the fifth of ten children. At twenty she entered the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul in Turin.
In 1885 she was sent to Sardinia, where she spent most of her consecrated life, above all in Cagliari.
