Who they were
At Constantinople, Blessed Gomidas Keumurdjian (Cosmas of Carbonian), priest and martyr, who, a father of a family, born and ordained in the Armenian Church, suffered much for having firmly kept and spread the Catholic faith professed by the Council of Chalcedon and finally died beheaded while reciting the Nicene Creed.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 5 November as an Armenian priest and father of a family, beheaded at Constantinople for the Catholic faith while reciting the Nicene Creed.
