Who they were
At Constantinople, Saint Gregory the Decapolite, monk, who led first the monastic and then the anchoritic life; then, becoming a pilgrim, he lived for a very long time at Thessalonica and finally at Constantinople, where he gave up his soul to God while fighting strenuously in defence of the veneration of sacred images.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 20 November as a monk and pilgrim who died at Constantinople defending the veneration of sacred images.
