Who they were
Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri was born in Madrid on 12 December 1916. A chemistry teacher and a laywoman of Opus Dei, she went as a missionary to Mexico and served others with joy, seeking holiness in ordinary work and daily life.
She died on 16 July 1975.

Why that counted as sanctity
The case of a man was examined by the Church's doctors and theologians and approved as a miracle on 8 June 2018, opening the way to beatification.
