Who they were

At Carthage, in present-day Tunisia, Saint Guddena, martyr, who, by order of the proconsul Rufinus, was tortured four separate times on the rack and with the torment of the iron claws, was then thrown for a long time into a squalid prison and at last run through with the sword.

The miracles

There was never a formal cause: she has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 27 June as a martyr at Carthage who was tortured four times and at last put to the sword.
