Hendrina Stenmanns

Who they were

Josepha Hendrina Stenmanns was born at Issum, Germany, on 28 May 1852, the eldest of seven children. As a child she visited the poor and suffering with her mother, and after school she helped support the family as a silk weaver.

She became co-foundress of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit.
