Why that counted as sanctity
A Maltese layman whose cause is joint with that of his wife Inez Vassallo; they married in 1944 at St Augustine's church in Valletta and were Augustinian tertiaries. The Holy See granted the nihil obstat on 17 November 2010 and the diocesan inquiry ran in the archdiocese of Malta from 29 August 2015 to 5 July 2024.
