Who they were
Henry of Susa, called Hostiensis, studied and taught Roman and canon law at Bologna and Paris, was Bishop of Sisteron and Archbishop of Embrun, and in 1261 became Cardinal-Bishop of Ostia.
He was the most celebrated canonist of his century. He died at Lyons on 25 October 1271.
