Who they were
Hugh Green was a Londoner and a Master of Arts of Cambridge who became a Catholic and was ordained priest at the English College in Douai.
He suffered the usual cruel execution for priests on 19 August 1642, and was declared Blessed by Pius XI among the English martyrs on 15 December 1929.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
