Iacobus Calatrava Romero was born on 20 December 1913 in the city of Granada, and was a layman, a lawyer and a member of Catholic Action.
He was killed at Pozo de Cantavieja on 26 September 1936, and was beatified on 25 March 2017 by Pope Francis, among the companions of José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre.
