Who they were
Ibar was a missionary in Wexford before St Patrick's coming. At first unwilling to yield to Patrick, he later submitted and became his disciple, and was confirmed as bishop.
About 480 he settled on the island of Begerin, where disciples gathered from all Ireland. He died on 23 April 500.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
