Who they were

The Roman Martyrology remembers him at Bruges in Flanders, in present-day Belgium, as an abbot who, left a widower early and having held office for another thirty years in the palace of the counts, entered the monastery of Dunes in mature age and ruled it in holiness as its third abbot for twelve years.

He was beatified on 23 July 1894 by Pope Leo XIII.
