The decree on martyrdom describes him as a priest of the Order of Preachers, born in 1875, who preached the gospel in the Philippines and was then superior of a priory in Spain, and records that he was killed on 13 August 1936. He was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.
