Ippolito Galantini

Who they were
Ippolito Galantini, of humble Florentine family, turned to God after a wonderful cure in childhood and at twelve was teaching the faith in a Jesuit church. He worked as a silk-weaver while teaching poor children and adults the catechism.
At sixteen he founded the Congregation of Christian Doctrine of Florence, overcoming opposition by patience. He died on 20 March 1619.
