Who they were

Isabel María de San Rafael Aranda Sánchez, of the Order of Saint Clare, was born at Hinojosa del Duque on 13 July 1889 and was abbess of the monastery of Santa Clara at Martos, where she was killed on 13 January 1937 at the age of 48. She was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV among the 124 martyrs of Jaén.
