Why that counted as sanctity
A catechist for fifty years in Bari, diocesan leader in Catholic Action, founder of the Carmelite Third Order there in 1913 and of the Apulian Unitalsi in 1928. The nihil obstat came on 14 July 2003 and the diocesan inquiry opened on 16 December 2003; a supplementary inquiry closed on 4 June 2024.
