At Córdoba in Andalusia in Spain, the holy martyrs Elias, an elderly priest, and Paul and Isidore, monks still young in years, killed during the persecution by the Moors for having professed the Christian faith.

There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 17 April as a young monk killed at Córdoba during the persecution by the Moors for professing the Christian faith.
