Who they were
Jacobo Kyushei Gorobioye Tomonaga (1582-1633) was born at Kyudetsu in the diocese of Nagasaki and became a Dominican priest of the Province of the Holy Rosary in the Philippines.
He is one of the sixteen martyrs of Japan, led by St Lorenzo Ruiz, killed between 1633 and 1637.
