Who they were
Jaime Girón Puigmitjá, born at San Cristofoll les Fonts, near Girona, on 11 October 1887, made his religious profession in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (the Claretians) on 21 November 1916 and was ordained a priest on 15 March 1919.
He was killed at Castelfollit de Riubregós, near Barcelona, on 5 September 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him with his companions on 21 October 2017.
