Who they were
James Oh Jong-rye was one of the Korean martyrs listed by the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints, and was killed at Jeonju on 4 January 1840, at the age of 19.
He was beatified on 16 August 2014 by Pope Francis, with the other martyrs of the same cause.
