Greek Catholic Redemptorist of the Michalovce vice-province, born at Nižný Hrabovec in 1911, a specialist in Eastern theology and a promoter of reunion with the Orthodox, who was the chief defendant in the 1950 communist show trial of religious.

Why that counted as sanctity
Archbishop Ján Babjak opened his beatification process on 31 January 2015 in the aula of the Greek Catholic theological faculty in Prešov, and the Redemptorists call him a Servant of God.
