Who they were
Jean-Baptiste Malo was a priest of the Paris Foreign Missions Society who had been a missionary in China.
Aged 55, he died of exhaustion and ill-treatment on 28 March 1954, beyond the Vietnamese border, on the road to the prison camps. He is one of the martyrs of Laos.
