Who they were
Jean-Martin Moye, ordained at Metz in 1754, founded schools for country children and in 1767 the Sisters of Divine Providence, despite opposition.
In 1769 he went as a missionary to China. Later, in exile at Trier during the Revolution, he nursed typhoid victims with his Sisters, caught the disease and died, a martyr of charity, on 4 May 1793.

Why that counted as sanctity
A priest who taught the poor, served in China and died nursing the sick.
