Who they were
Jean Perriolat was a layman born at Romans on 12 June 1920 and baptised there on 15 August; he did various jobs, became an active member of the Young Christian Workers and from 27 March 1941 was engaged in the Youth Works. Recruited for the compulsory labour service in March 1943 and sent to Hirschberg, he was arrested there by the Gestapo for his activity on 23 November 1944 and died at Mauthausen on 14 April 1945, aged 24. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV.
